Yad Vashem lectures 2021 — Association of Jews of Vilna and vicinity in Israel

In July 2021, we gathered at Beit Vilna for 2 filmed lectures in collaboration with Yad Vashem and the Association of Vilna Jews in Israel. Katya Gosarov, a researcher in Yad Vashem's Department of Righteous Among the Nations, told about cases and characteristics of rescue in Lithuania in general and in the two main cities Vilna and Kovna in particular.

Naama Galil, the project manager in the commemoration and community relations department of Yad Vashem, spoke about the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the murder in Ponary and scrolled the picture of the loss at the main murder site of the Jews of Vilnius and the surrounding area, based on testimonies, documents and stories of victims and survivors.
