Wilno -Vilnius -Vilne  : The capital of Lithuania. From 1323 the capital of the Duchy of Lithuania. Between the two world wars a district city in Poland. In the years 1940-1991 the capital of the Soviet Lithuania. Among Eastern European Jewry, especially in modern times,  it was called Jerusalem De lita.
