Shilansky, Dov, "Darkness at Daylight" — Association of Jews of Vilna and vicinity in Israel

Dov Shilansky, Speaker of the Knesset ... was born in Šiauliai, Lithuania. From an early age, he was a member of Betar and the Irgun. After the Soviet invasion of Lithuania, he joined the underground.

In his book, Dov Shilansky tells at length the story of the Jews of Šiauliai and the surrounding area and praises the brotherhood that prevailed among the Jews helping them survive.
