Itzhak Meras-evening in his memory
On Sunday 27/3/2022, an event was held at the Vilna House in memory of Itzhak Maras, an Israeli Lithuanian writer and screenwriter who was a darling of the city of Holon. Maras was born into a traditional Zionist family in Lithuania, and owes his life to the Lithuanians who adopted him after his parents were murdered.
Maras is one of the most important and translated writers in modern Lithuanian literature. His masterpieces have been translated into dozens of languages and have even won him important awards in Lithuania and Israel.
