Hidden Children 2022 — Association of Jews of Vilna and vicinity in Israel

In May 2022, we gathered at Beit Vilna for a particularly moving event. Dr. Yaakov Zilberg presented his book "Hidden Children " which tells the stories of the rescue of 50 children from the Kovno Ghetto. Yaakov, who that day celebrated his 80th birthday, narrated the moving stories at length. The audience was attended by a number of survivors from the ghetto, including Mina Stein.

Ya'arit Glazer told the story of her acquaintance with Benny Heitz, who died several years ago, who too had been a child who had survived the ghetto. In the artistic portion: Regina Dricker accompanied on the piano the singers Rosa Klein and Jana, members of the artistic workshop of Yiddish songs named after Nechama Lifshitz. The evening was moderated by Miri Krausher.
