Deborah Rosenzweig — Association of Jews of Vilna and vicinity in Israel

A festive meeting and the lighting of the second Hanukkah candle (December 2017) of Yoav Shapira's olive oil menorah, to mark the launch of Deborah Rosenzweig's book. The book takes us on the heroic journey of her mother who escaped with her from the clutches of the Nazis on the verge of the death pits in Ponar. It tells us of the girl’s miraculous journey, how she was eventually saved by a Polish woman who sheltered her in her home during the war, until she was returned to her mother's arms.
