H'Gaon-300 years since his birth — Association of Jews of Vilna and vicinity in Israel

Three hundred years since the birth of the Gaon from Vilna.

In December 2020, under the restrictions of coronavirus regulations, representatives of the union gathered to mark the 300th birthday of the Vilna Gaon.

The event was attended by the Lithuanian Ambassador to Israel, Eli Eshed, Cultural Researcher (Yekum Tarbut), the historian, Prof. Immanuel Etkes, the historian Eli Eliach, the Israeli/Lithuanian poet and translator Sivan Baskin, and the curator of the Gaon exhibition at Beit Vilna, Hanna Shilo.
