International Holocaust Day 2023 — Association of Jews of Vilna and vicinity in Israel

On the occasion of the commemoration of International Holocaust Day, in collaboration with the Lithuanian Embassy in Israel, we invited the German historian Dr. Christoph Diekmann to tell us about the "uniqueness of the Holocaust in Lithuania" in Beit Vilna and Vicinity in Tel Aviv. The lecturer told about the research, processes and results, about the Jews who were trapped in Lithuania in a hopeless situation and what really happened there in Lithuania, which became a German-Lithuanian trap for the Jews.

The event took place in the presence of many soldiers and officers from the Naval Vessel Unit and other guests. The lecture was held in English and there was an open dialogue between the participants and the lecturer.
