Abraham Korisky

Born in Lithuania, Koriski spent years in the Vilnius Ghetto before being sent to Stutthof in 1944. He was forced to clean the crematorium and later survived a death march in the freezing winter of 1945. Koriski described in detail the horrors and sadistic torture that he and other inmates endured. When asked by the judge why he came so far to testify, Koriski answered: “Not because of the defendant. And not for revenge. I don’t care if he goes to jail or not. I am here to tell the world what happened, so it will be written in history books for future generations. Let them know I don’t forget and don’t forgive, but my revenge is my family sitting here with me. That’s all.”
