Huberman, Ida, There, 2007
A collection of stories (Hebrew), in which the present touches the past and the "here" meets with occurrences from the "there." Without any progression in time and place, figures, events and emotions associated with World War II and the period after, are brought to mind. They are told from the point of view of the girl's eyes from there, or narrated as a distant, seemingly forgotten experience, suddenly appearing on unexpected occasions, and becoming tangible even when viewed from a point of view that spans half a century. Ida Huberman has written and published on subjects in her field of knowledge, as a lecturer in art history and as an exhibition curator.
