Presentation of Certificates of Honor to Veterans of the Association — Association of Jews of Vilna and vicinity in Israel

In February, 2018 the oldest surviving partisan from the Vilna Ghetto, Litman Mor (Morvychik) (who will be 101 next March) was awarded a certificate of honor. We were very surprised to see a portrait of Litman, as a young man, hanging on the wall of his home in Tel Aviv; the portrait was painted by, Alexander Bogen, an artist who was also a member of the resistance movement in the forests of Narocz in Belarus. It was a very moving experience.
