Anna Frank-Opera 2021 — Association of Jews of Vilna and vicinity in Israel

Tonight (2021), Association members, survivors and their families experienced an extraordinary event, in which Eva and Mula Ben-Zvi performed the mono-opera "Diary of Anne Frank" in memory of the 1.5 million children who perished in the Holocaust, composed by Gregory Fried according to Anne Frank's diary, May them Rest in Peace. Mulla (a member of the Association's board) told those present about his part in the process of uploading the work in the Soviet Union, while serving in the Jewish Agency in Moscow and Eva read moving excerpts from the diary. Music clips from performances in Israel and around the world were screened. just wonderful! Zami Levin and Haim Wayn lit six candles, in memory of the six million who perished in the Holocaust and the event ended with the crowd singing 'Eli Eli', by Hannah Szenes.
