Abba Kovner's 100th Birthday — Association of Jews of Vilna and vicinity in Israel

In March 2018, marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Jewish poet and partisan Abba Kovner, the Lithuanian Jewish community unveiled the memorial plaque in his honor on the building of the former "Tarbut" Hebrew Gymnasium in which Kovner studied until 1935. The ceremony was attended by community chairman Faina Kukliansky, Fania Brantsovsky, the Jewish partisan who told her memories of the Jewish leader, and the Israeli ambassador to Lithuania, Amir Maimon
