September 23 marks the Holocaust Remembrance Day in Lithuania, which is being observed (together with the Lithuanian Jewish community and local communities) in educational institutions across the state. In the photo (credit to Arthur Shnaid), the memorial service held on September 23, 2018 in Ponary, was attended by a large local audience, ghetto survivors, culture minister, ambassadors, Vilna mayor, MPs and public representatives of organizations in Vilnius and Lithuania in Israel and around the world
